FAQ

Why should I hire a Makeup Artist?

When you hire a Professional Makeup Artist, you're not just paying to get your makeup done. You’re paying for high end products, my experience, education, and knowledge of products and skincare. It's my joy to be a part of your day.

Booking a Professional Makeup Artist is one of the best investments you can make for your wedding day. I make a schedule ahead of time, so we can have a stress-free day, I know what products work best for you, and I understand how lighting works (indoor and outdoor, as well as professional photography and how to work with your photographer's editing style).

What is required to book?

To book your wedding date with me, a signed contract and a 50% non-refundable retainer of the total amount due are required. The retainer goes towards the final payment.

How long does it take to get my makeup done?

For weddings, I set aside 45 minutes for all bridal party members (moms included). And for the bride, I set aside 1 hr and 20 minutes.

Bridal makeup typically takes longer because, there will always be some distractions on the big day, like phone calls, questions from your other vendors, and more.

At the end of my timeline that I create for you, I always make sure to book 15 minutes for touch ups for everyone who got makeup done. That way, everyone's makeup is fresh and ready to go.

For all other services, such as, boudoir, special occasion, senior makeup, I do require 1 hr for makeup.

I have extremely sensitive skin/allergies. How can I make sure I don’t get a reaction?

I will send you a Makeup Consultation form for you to fill out prior to your makeup appt with me. I created this form specifically to learn more about you! This is where I recommend putting this information, as well as on your contact me form when you first reach out to me. I want to make sure my kit is ready to go to accommodate you. This goes for anyone else getting makeup done too. I want to know everything up front, so I can make sure I'm prepared.

I don’t want a full face of makeup. Can I just get my eyes and lips done?

At this time, I only offer a full services to you. This will help make sure you look photo ready for your big event. I customize each and every makeup look to the clients' preferences, skin type, and so much more. I love photo inspo, and even better if the look comes from my work.

When should I book my makeup artist for my wedding?

I'd recommend booking as soon as you get your venue booked. Most Makeup Artists book anywhere between 6 months-1 year in advance.

How far out should I book my trial?

I always recommend having a trial within 1-2 months of your big day.

When you book me as your Bridal Makeup Artist, we discuss your skincare routine and I help you prepare a proper routine too. So having your trial within 1-2 months of the wedding, ensures that you will be using the proper skin prep and the results will be similar to your day of look.

Doing your trial on the day of your Bridal Portraits, Bridal Shower, or for Engagement Pics are also a great idea.

Can you accommodate large bridal parties?

I sure can! I will always take care of everything for you, and that includes hiring any extra artists needed for your big day. Not only that, but I have a few Artists I absolutely love working with, that have worked alongside me for years. They also have a similar style of makeup to me.

I do require an extra Artist's fee. This is the retainer to secure your big day in their calendar as well.

What if I don't have a bridal party?

I require a Bride +3 services for all wedding days. If it is only the Bride getting her makeup done, then we can add in 2hrs of touch up time. I will stay through all of your photos. This is perfect for the Bride doing a first look or private vow reading, the Bride that gets extra emotional, or the Bride getting married in the hotter/cooler months. That way, I can ensure that you're picture perfect for your ceremony.

Bride only weddings are some of my absolute favorite, because now I have even more time to pamper you.

Do you only offer Bridal makeup?

I also offer makeup for Boudoir, Engagement, Senior photos, Maternity, Headshots and Branding, and so much more. I also offer 1:1 lessons too!

Tell me more about lessons..

So, lessons are the best! We discuss skincare, makeup, go over application, and anything else you want to discuss! I will guide you every single step of the way. We can even go shopping together, and I’ll help you pick out the right products for you!

I suggest a 3hr lesson always, because we go over A LOT, and you'll take so many notes on the prepared guide I have for you.
