FAQ
Why should I hire a Makeup Artist for my wedding day?
Hiring a Professional Makeup Artist is truly one of the best choices you can make for your wedding day. I have been a part of more than 100+ wedding mornings, so I know exactly how to keep everything running smoothly. I create a full schedule ahead of time and make sure your whole morning feels calm, organized, and stress free.
But the makeup itself is only part of what you are investing in. You are also getting high end products, my experience, my education, and all the knowledge I have about skin, products, lighting, and photography. I know what works indoors, outdoors, and in every type of lighting so your makeup looks flawless in person and in every photo your photographer takes.
And truly, the best part for me is being there with you. I am your beauty expert and your wedding day bestie, hyping you up, calming your nerves, fixing anything that needs fixing, and making sure you feel confident, cared for, and absolutely stunning. It is an honor to be a part of your day. 💕
What is required to book?
To book your wedding date with me, a signed contract and a 50% non-refundable and non-transferable retainer of the total amount are required. The retainer goes towards the final payment.
How long does it take to get my makeup done?
For weddings, I set aside 45 minutes for all bridal party members (moms included). And for the bride, I set aside 1 hr and 20 minutes.
Bridal makeup typically takes longer because, there will always be some distractions on the big day, like phone calls, questions from your other vendors, and more. But more than anything, gf it's your big day, and I'm spending the most time I can pampering YOU!
At the end of my timeline that I create for you, I always make sure to book 20-30 minutes for touch ups for everyone who got makeup done. That way, everyone's makeup is fresh and ready to go.
For all other services, such as, boudoir, special occasion, senior makeup, I do require 1 hr for makeup.
I have extremely sensitive skin/allergies. How can I make sure I don’t get a reaction?
I will send you a Makeup Consultation form for you to fill out prior to your makeup appt with me. I created this form specifically to learn more about you! This is where I recommend putting this information, as well as on your contact me form when you first reach out to me. I want to make sure my kit is ready to go to accommodate you. This goes for anyone else getting makeup done too. I want to know everything up front, so I can make sure I'm prepared.
I don’t want a full face of makeup. Can I just get my eyes and lips done?
At this time, I only offer a full services to you. This will help make sure you look photo ready for your big event. I customize each and every makeup look to the clients' preferences, skin type, and so much more. I love photo inspo, and even better if the look comes from my work.
When should I book my makeup artist for my wedding?
I'd recommend booking as soon as you get your venue booked. Most Makeup Artists book anywhere between 6 months-1 year in advance.
How far out should I book my trial?
I always recommend having a trial within 1-2 months of your big day.
When you book me as your Bridal Makeup Artist, we discuss your skincare routine and I help you prepare a proper routine too. So having your trial within 1-2 months of the wedding, ensures that you will be using the proper skin prep and the results will be similar to your day of look.
Can you accommodate large bridal parties?
I sure can! I will always take care of everything for you, and that includes hiring any extra artists needed for your big day. Not only that, but I have a few Artists I absolutely love working with, that have worked alongside me for years. They also have a similar style of makeup to me.
I do require an extra Artist's fee. This is the retainer to secure your big day in their calendar as well.
What if I don't have a bridal party?
I do require a Bride +4 for all wedding days, but if it’s just you getting your makeup done, we can add on 2 hours of touch-ups instead. That means I’ll stay with you through all your photos, perfect if you’re doing a first look, private vows, you know you’re an emotional girlie, or you’re getting married in those hotter/colder months. Basically, I’m there to make sure you look absolutely flawless walking into your ceremony.
But honestly, it’s more than that. I’m there to pamper you. Think of me as your wedding-day bestie, fixing makeup, blotting sweat, catching tears before they roll, shoving water into your hand, and doing sooo much more.
Bride-only weddings are actually some of my faves because I get even more time to treat you like the queen you are.
Do you only offer Bridal makeup?
I also offer makeup for Boudoir, Engagement, Senior photos, Maternity, Headshots and Branding, and so much more. I also offer 1:1 lessons too!
Tell me more about lessons..
Lessons are seriously the best! We dive into skincare, makeup, application, literally anything you want to talk about. I guide you through every single step, no stress. We can even go shopping together so I can help you pick out the products that actually work for you. That way, I can teach you how to pick out products on your own.
I always suggest a 3hr lesson because we go over a lot, and you’re going to end up taking so many notes on the guide I have ready for you. You’ll be so much faster at your makeup and sooo much more confident after we work together.
Click the lesson tab and let’s chat, bestie.
